Throwing in the towel…

As much as we hate to do it, my son and I have given up. We had a massive run of engine problems this season, ending with our one GOOD motor blowing up catastrophically at the IMCA Supernationals last week. We've finally decided that enough is enough. Damon wants to spend more time (and more importantly, money) on growing his business, and after this year, I cant blame him. The car itself is fantastic, proving itself by making the Saturday feature at last year's IMCA Supernationals, and winning 3 features last year...2 at a track with an average count of 35 Hobbies, and the other at a track with an average count of 20 Hobbies.

We're selling the car, and hoping that one of you other Mopar fanatics with deeper pockets than we have will latch onto this awesome car and continue what we are no longer able to do.

I detailed the build a year and a half ago on these pages. Many pics are available for your viewing pleasure, but I can tell you that there are obviously a few things done to the car that were experimental, and proved to work VERY well, but werent documented on the build thread.

It's a 76 Dart Sport, but I reskinned it last winter with a Demon front clip.
Has approx 25 nights since new. Complete minus motor. Includes: 904 auto with direct drive converter, pro-built driveshaft, 9" Ford with Moser Hobby Stock axles both sides, 6.66 gear with Moser mini spool. 12 gallon fuel cell, new Landrum leaf springs, PST torsion bars, Bilstien shocks (just dyno'd), PRC aluminum radiator with shroud, trans cooler, all ignition components (Chrysler electronic with MSD coil), PRC aluminum shifter, QuickCar gauges, Interstate battery, exhaust manifolds and pipes (drivers side 340 manifold needs welded), 8 wheels and tires with 3 NEW Primewell tires, box full of spare suspension parts, extra body panels, and an extra front stub. Also have another complete Duster parts car available. Other pics can be seen at www.chargerchassis.com, then go to the "Richards Racing" page. Call with any questions or email me through the Contact page at www.chargerchassis.com. More pics are available...just ask!

We're asking $6000 for everything we have that is either A-body or Hobby Stock related. I can guarantee that it can't be built for anywhere near that, but we will listen to serious offers.

Anyone interested can reach me at 402-367-7688.

Thanks for looking, and thanks to everyone for your help when I needed it.
