Unfortunatly our track has been sold for the property to supposedly build a walmart or some kind of shopping center. The Promoter had an on track meeting as to the state of the track last saturday night and we got the official news that the track will have it's last race on 31 Aug 2013. The track opened in 1973 and has always had good car counts and still has, The promoter has said he would like to build another if he can get some property at a good rate and if he builds it will be more of a motorplex with gokart and dragstrip. We have all wondered how long the track would last with the amount of houses built around it, and all the idiots that bought a house next to a track and wined about the noise and dust. Well last laugh is from now till the end of the season promoter has eliminated the no muffler rule just to piss of all the winers! The track property was owned buy some guy and leased by the promoter who had a lease till 2015 so the owner has like 30 days to repay the lease money, If David Goode builds a new track I know it will be first class but man it sure has been great living only about 2 miles from the track. Untill the end I should still be able to get a few more races in.
