Start, Run, Charge Circuit "Back Feed" Problem.

Hey All (and especially Mr. 440),
The attached GIF is of Lorrie Van Haul's Start, Run, Charge Circuit. Lorrie is a 1967 Dodge P200 Postal Van (see attached).

The Start Switch is has TWO separate Circuits. One Circuit goes to the Starter Solenoid. The OTHER Circuit goes to the "+" Terminal on the Ignition Coil. Power is supplied to the Start Switch from a single Wire with a Bridge that permits it to activate both Circuits. With this Circuitry, there is "Back Feed" from the Ignition Coil to the Starter Solenoid when the Start Switch is activated. It was decided to "fix" this situation by removing the Bridge and installing a second Power Wire to the Start Switch.

While doing this, continuity between the "+" Terminal of the Ignition Coil and the Starter Solenoid was checked, and even with the Start Switch physically removed from the circuitry, THERE IS CONTINUITY BETWEEN THE "+" TERMINAL OF THE IGNITION COIL AND THE STARTER SOLENOID.

Have gone over and over the Circuitry and cannot see what is causing that situation.

Any help would be appreciated.
