I'm in the middle of changing the pump on a '70 383 which has a Saginaw pump. In doing some internet research I keep seeing references to a pressure reducing valve which would be installed where the pressure line attaches to the pump. The old pump did not have a valve. The pump is the one with an oval filler neck. Can anybody help me out on this.
