The ignition system in my 65 Plymouth Sport Fury has a Ignition Ballast in the system running from the + side of Flame-Thrower coil to the Ignition Ballast. I have been told that the Ignition Ballast doesn't need to be connected to the Flame-Thrower Coil in the Pertronix I Ignition System because it hinders the performance of the coil. Is that right?
