I’m not getting into codes or cut depths here. It is a simple eyeball measure and trial and error that almost anyone can do. It does require some spare parts and is why you shouild hang on to your old lock cylinders or pocket a few as you wander through the junk yard.

First you must remove the cover with a hobby knife or similar thin steel object.

What lies underneath are the lock pins, follower pins…

I recently saw on here, I think in the parts for sale section, somebody selling some parts and willing to trade for 54 dodge pickup parts. I can’t find it now so I am posting this craigslist link for whoever it was. These are not my parts and i know nothing about them, I just remembered the trade offer.

The donor car was a 2003 Cavalier. Of course the holes had to be drilled but it wasn’t much of a task. The driver seat required no mods at all. The passenger seat required that the inside rear mounting tab be cut off and re-welded to face away from the hump… that’s all.
