Carb selection?
Here is my idea. I have some extra money to spend on my Dart. The carb that is on it right now is a 600 electric choke Edelbrock (1400). I have a 318 with a mild Lunati cam, unsure of the duration and a Edelbrock performer intake. I spoke to the engine builder (previous owner of the Dart)the other day and he did not remember what he put in it, other than the type of cam, chrome moly rings and had some head work done to it. It was 5 years ago that it was built, but it may have only 15000…
Vacuum advance on 318
As I patch up my 318 and look for performance parts to bolt on, something just occured to me. I’m not quite sure the timing is set up properly.
The vacuum advance port I just noticed isn’t connected to anything! It isn’t plugged either.
I tried connecting it to a port above the butterfly on my 2bbl carb but the engine stalled instantly.
There is another port to which the (non working) choke is attached at the rear under the butterfly but this results in a stalled engine also.

Does anyone have any info on 413 truck heads? What kind of set up would be best with a 440 with the 413 heads? Really any info on the heads would be great thanks.
