Choke vs. no choke
Hey guys, I just rebuilt my Thermo-Quad carb and while I was getting the linkage hooked back up one of the choke linkage pieces broke. I just removed the choke hardware (left on the fast-idle stuff though) and figured I could just run without one, but I don’t want it to be a huge hassle to start cold. BTW this is going on my mildly-rodded street 318. The main reason I ask is because it seemed like before when the engine had the stock 2-bbl. BBD the choke was barely needed even when starting…
Car stereo guru needed…..
I`m installing a new set of 6 x 9`s as well as a pair of 5.25`s in my car and the speaker manufacturer recommends using an additional amplifier in the 80-150 watt @ 4 ohms range to push the speakers. Can you car stereo guys recommend a good quality amplifier that won`t empty my piggy bank? Thanks

Timing cover and dress up???
Well……After replacing te NON-existant thermostst last week with a 190 degree on the wagon actually got to operating temperature and was happy….until I developed a Pressure leak between the Timing cover and the block on the top passenger side……Of course it had to happen just as I pulled into the Emergency room to get a cut finger stitched up…..Kind bad day all around. So I got a new water pump to put on and the correct hoses to replace those cheap spring filled flex hoses that rust…
