Hey guys…

I’m thinking of dropping in a ’68 340 in my 273 (Commando v8) equipped ’67 cuda.

Is it a simple transplant? Will all my brackets and power accessories (factory a/c, power steering, radiator, pulleys, etc.) work? Any comments or suggestions?

Anyone need one? I kept one off my 1968 300 driveshaft before I got rid of it. $10 plus shipping. PM me, I see those easier than getting these E-mail notifications.

So i finally received my sharktooth grill after waiting two weeks and the crack is about 3 inches long on the bottom of grill passenger side. dont have any photos to show at the moment since i’m at work but how would you recommend going about fixing it?

OK , Again I pulled the engine tore it down “had the internals balanced” put it back together ..Fired up like a dream .. BUT I’m hearing a KNOCK in the engine. I haven’t spent much time on timing it. Just heard this knock and after about a minute shut it down… ANY thoughts??? Did I do something wrong or miss something or is it just sounding that way because…..?????? Need help…????????

I just went to the local salvage yard and they guy started telling me about this 318 engine he had. He told me it was extremly quick and a lot quicker than any other 318 he had ever dealt with. He said the motor had a W In the vin. What does the W stand for? I am building a duster and i have been looking for a 340 but im kind of interested in this motor. There was a guy there with a 340 duster and he said that he has not road in a 318 with that much power either.
