Ok so I had a customer come in yesterday for an oil change in his 00 Cadi DTS 4.6 Northsatr. Well I saw a bit of an oil pan gasket leak that needed attention and I have never had a customer say OK fix it before on this particular engine. So I look up the time and procedure on my Alldata and it’s 12 hours and step 2 in the process is remove drivetrain!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So here we are 6 hours later:

All – I have a base 1972 Dart. Slant 6, 225c.i.

I drive it about 3 days a week into work, and it runs like a top. It had 39k original miles on it when I bought it. Near mint interior, trunk, etc. Engline-wise, my previous owner had just done a valve job and tune-up.

Now when I’m driving I get a discernable tick-tick-ticking sound that increases as I accelerate.

Is this pinging? I use a 93 octane gas in it, but perhaps need an additive.
Is this the valves?

What is this? And how…

My 1972 D100 doesn’t want to start now unless I pour some fuel down the carb first. Then once started, it runs fine. Cant figure out the issue and I am new to this Holley carbed slant-6, never had one before. Any ideas?

I wanna use my Lincoln SP135-T Mig to weld some aluminum framing…I’m modifying an enclosed trailer…….

I’ve never welded aluminum before……..

Can you guys give me some tips on what to watch for, what not to do, whatever………? The framing will probably be 1/8″ to 3/16″ average…..

How about some pro-pointers………..8)
