What does this toggle switch do?

Hello, can you guys tell me what this toggle switch does?
I know in the first pic the toggle closest is the map light. but the second switch is right above the e-brake.

I got some old rusty X cores and the guides look knurled (looks like a fine thread). Then I read about Olds actually doing this from the factory to promote lubrication. Was that Olds guy BS’n or was that a 1968 Detroit practice? did Ma do that too? I have very little valve play on those “knurled”…

Torquing Intake Manifold

It’s been a while since I posted anything, but I’ve had some low vacuum at idle problems and I’m thinking I may need to tighten down the intake manifold. The one bolt I could get at was definitely a fair bit away from the proper torque (45 ft-lbs in my Haynes book), my question is how the heck do you get a torque wrench on the rest of the intake bolts, especially the middle ones? For that matter, I can’t even seem to get any kind of wrench on them.

Anyone have some experience that can shed…
