Thought I'd ask here. I need a front sump pan and oil pump pickup from a 318 and I was thinking of taking one out of a f/j/m body. Maybe a 5th ave from the 80's
On and F/J/M car, anyone know if I can get the pan off without taking the engine out of the car.
If so, can I get it out without jacking the engine up ?
Reason I'm asking is I'm trying to put a 1977 318 into my 56 plymouth. The engine I have came from a truck and it has a rear sump. Rear sump and center sump pans won't clear the steering linkage. So I'm thinking a stock car pan would work. I can't refer to my Volare because it has an aftermarket deep pan on it.
