I have a 440 turning a 727 and i purchased a ministarter from 440 source because of limited space. It doesn't match up quite right and was told by 440 source that I would have to grind the engine block down a little to provide the clearance needed. It thought this wasn't the right thing to do so I searched for another mini-starter and found one in JEG's. the smallprint said I might have to grind the block down to get proper clearance. Is this the norm or does anyone have an alternative?
