Making the 4 bar floater rear end

Well after much looking for 4 bar floater parts that are not too expensive, I finally spent the money on a set of BSB floaters. I figured a few minutes with the grinding wheel to remove the old brackets and I would be sliding my BSB powder coated high speed floaters on and all would be good! Three days later worth of grinding the axle tubes I finally get the floater on! I had to grind the tubes almost the full length and completly around 360 degrees....over and over before the GD things fit. It looked as though the tubes where only machined at the ends for the stubs and at the center to 3 inches, I thought it kind of odd that the floater that "was" on the left had no bearing or teflon to ride on and the right side was a welded bracket for a single bar! Made some plates to weld onto the pull bar mount to bring the bolt forward of the axle center line also, that only took a few minutes! I was ready to order a new housing after all the grinding! Anyway the housing is if any thing lighter and may now have some built in crush zone ability being a few thousands thiner! But after it all I think the new floaters will really help my handeling issues...I hope!
