I just got a Hurst competition plus for my 1966 Sport Fury to replace my sloppy/broken Inland. I ordered for 66 c-body console shift. Pulled the Inland today and went to put in the Hurst and the lower bolt/mounting hole is almost a half inch off. I confirmed the part number on the box is correct and everything is right. I thought about removing the mounting plate on the transmission to get a pattern and machine another one that would fit the hurst but the Allen screws in it will not budge...
