Afternoon gents.
My 68 GTX 440 is having issues starting after some new parts. She had no issues starting in the past, besides the stock starter was a little slow. But I added a new fuel tank and sending unit, but kept the original metal 3/8" fuel lines up to the fuel pump. I changed the fuel hoses over to a -6 AN lines after flaring the end of the metal fuel lines and connected them to the new mechanical fuel pump (Holley 12-440-11). Now she wont start! Cant seem to get fuel up to the carb. I have run air through the line and its coming out to the tank, so I don't seem to have any blockages in the lines. If I disconnect the AN fittings at the flared end and drop that into a gas can she will fire up so I don't think its the pump that is a problem. Besides flaring the metal line again do you guys have any ideas on what the problem might be?
Oh and I had to replace the stock starter to an after market since the amount of cranking I did finally burned up the ol girl.
