First 8 pt Roll bar technical question

I have completed a roll bar in my '68 B-body and have a question about the diagonal bars at the door locations. I put slight bends in the bars to accomodate the door arm rests and I'm thinking whether a triangular kick down bar is really necessary or not. If you take a look at the bar in the photos, do I really need to weld one in, or is it fine without it. Just looking to the more experienced for opinions...I will take your advice. (and any constructive criticism is completely welcomed and appreciated)
