Crankshaft sensor

1994 Ram 5.9

My question since I don't recall on this truck- If every sensor is operating properly, should I get a small jump in the tach when the truck is trying (but won't) start?

I've got nothing at the coil and if my crank sensor is bad this would cause this(?)

I've replaced the Distributor pickup, cap, rotor, wires. Still no spark. I don't have any voltage present to the terminals INTO the coil, which leads to nothing out.

All interior bells, lights, etc, work Battery charged. terminals on PCM are good.

I've read that it's on the top right side of block near the bellhousing, yet I can see the wires, but not the sensor. Looks like a bitch to change. Just wondering if my tach doesn't move on cranking if this is normal or a sign of the crank sensor being bad.
