I got a 66 fury that has a 318 poly which i pulled out to keep as i acquired a 383 & 727 which all the so called mopar experts said would bolt straight in, i got the engine support brackets for the 383 from schumacher & went to put the big block in the engine bay the mount holes all line up BUT the motor is sitting very close to the firewall & is tilted up at the back the sump is just sitting on the tie rod & the oil filter is hitting the sway bar, it looks like the motor needs to be moved forward about 1 inch, has anyone ever come across this when doing a big block conversion?
