What complete A/C kits are available? Who has installed one, and what do you think about it? What did you do to eliminate the fresh air opening in the floor of the cowl?

OK, before you beat me up for asking a stupid question, yes I did search all the threads here. I must be missing something… My ’72 duster has A/C and PS, I want to go to the manual box but keep the A/C and it’s current configuration… but the fan belt goes crank to PS to fan… Is there a factory idler pulley for this? I have seen guys just put a belt on the fan and crank with no adjustment, really don’t want to do that… I am sure I can fabricate something but why re-invent the…

getting close to buttoning up the motor and starting her up…I need new heater hoses as well as rad hoses…for the heater hoses i was just going to order 71 duster 340 hoses (it is a 71 scamp originally /6 with a 340 now)..for the rad hoses is where im a little off…im more than likely going to be using a rad from a mid 80’s small block fifth avenue that i have (if it fits), however, it is bigger than the stock slant six one….so im wondering, do i order hoses for the fifth…

In my new 340 engine I have a 160 degree thermostat. It runs a little hotter than i would like so my question is will it coll down with a higher 180 degree thermostat? I had a guy tell me that since the car ran above 160 all the time that the thermostat stayed open and did not give the water time to cool in the radiator. went to install the radiator from the 76 dart into the 67 car last night and it fits perfectly – except all the mounting holes are off. obv the smaller radiator of the /6 has a different hole setup. so at the risk of asking an idiotic question, i assume i need to drill 6 holes to mount the V8 radiator.

does it make sense to attach the shroud to the radiator to make sure of fan clearance and then mark/drill the holes?

I’d planned on puting the new A/C accumulator and compressor I bought on my 99 Ram 2500 w/ Cummins diesel. Problem is the Dodge manual states to drain the oil from the old compressor, measure it, then add the same amount to the new compressor. Problem is it leaked for a while before the compressor failed internally due to lack of lubrication. Only a small amount of oil came out of the old compressor when I drained it; I’d say not even .25 oz drained out. The manual states that the A/C…
