OK, strange one here. My son & I are building an enduro car to take to Texas this fall. Using a 91 360 out of a 1- ton van. It has an overdrive 727 behind it that always worked great. Not planning to use the overdrive gear, just 3rd gear. Does anyone know of any inherent problems with using this trans & not putting power to the overdrive portion? Had planned on running a 3 speed, but this would be a lot simpler than building a clutch pedal & linkages. Any input would be appreciated!
