1968 Newport 383/727 Trans lines

Started with noisy water pump. Easier when radiator removed but the line on the driver side has been a bit kinked. It got worse when I removed it this time and I am concerned it is too restrictive but not sure. Anyway I want to play it safe and I don’t have a lot of space to work on the car so the most simple sane way is what I want. Considering cutting the line where it is straight and finishing the run to the radiator with stainless braided… thoughts?

1968 Newport 4Dr 383 2BBl low option. Roller windows, power steering, no a/c
Love this car…bought on Ebay and shipped aprox 12 years ago. Bone Stock… original cloth interior was shot and is now vinyl using the buttons and hardware. Cheap repaint works for me. Looks like it took a pretty good hit and just a bit crooked when you look down the side but this is the car and it’s history.

Low optioned car.. no power brakes…. works ok but pulls to the left a bit sometimes and that is unpredictable so a bit scary…usually from high speed. Gonna check the brake adjustment and also the bearings…. My dad’s ’68 had power brakes and as I recall they were very “touchy”.. my question is: are power brakes a simple matter of adding a booster? Master Cylinder? is this easy?
