With help and encouragement from several members, I was able to replace the seal without dropping the pan. I had a trans fluid leak that created a puddle under the car. After cleaning and inspecting, I determined it was the shift lever seal.. I ordered the seal and tool kit but was dreading doing this. Fortunately, got it done and it wasn’t so bad at all.

The interior plastics in the back including the spare tire cover are brittle and need replacing…..does anybody sell these? A friend told me I can find a fiberglass place to replicate them but I so far no luck.

Finally got the power steering gearbox out… Could not get the pitman arm off with the puller and the space didn’t allow for a fork… Had to undo the left tie rod end and the pitman at the linkage.

So I had the gearbox on the ground and after a LOT of pounding on the fork the pitman arm came off. I have the PTS suspension kit and so far have only installed the tie rod ends and idler arm. When I asked PTS if I should get the pitman arm I was that while I can order it, it’s not usually a…

Should i buy a new pitman arm?

The Chassis manual says “at the control arms”

I have been putting them at front of frame behind wheel well.

I want to do as the manual says but don’t know at which point on the control arm..I ant to guess on the outer-most low point… Hmmmmm

Any drawing or specific as to where on the arm?
