The ’64 426 Hemi
Top 16 Super Stock cars at Indy in 1964. The first year of the 426 Hemi. Talk about domination, that engine was darn near unbeatable with an automatic behind it in ’64. The stick Hemi cars broke a lot of tranny’s and rearends. Most of those problems were cured by the time ’65 rolled around.
