All that glitters in not gold….
Just installed a Borgenson steering gear and as I was waiting for the air to clear I noticed quite a bit
of gold flakes in the fluid. Don’t know of any brass type components in the pump so assuming it maybe coming from the gear. I did happen to put a magna pure filter on I had laying around and sure enough the magnet had debris
on it. Can barely feel in btwn your fingers and haven’t taken it for a spin yet but the steering seems smooth…for now.

Hi all, Anybody have a H pipe install pic they would like to share to see what possibilities are available…?
Seems like even custom shops use existing templates that only include e-body Hemi’s or B-bodies so
other than the TTI set up which will cause me to change what I have. The idea of grafting e body down
pipes onto the Hemi set up isn’t getting me anywhere…

Molded heater hose
I’m having issues replacing what appeared to be B body heater hoses on my 440 R/T but the Year Ones i got
for A/E cars aren’t molded like the others seem to be and the hoses kink or is it just cheap hose. There much
more pliable than the ones I took off which could be OEM as far as I can tell because there thicker and much
stiffer. I kinda sacrificed them when I was taking them off not thinking i would be needing to put them back on.

Piston impressions
I’m cleaning out my cylinders from a leaking valley pan and see .04 stamped on the pistons but measuring with one of those cheapo digital calipers from the top not a dial indicator down the bore I get 4.342. Does that sound about right ?
Turn signal switch
My horn died a slow death with one spoke going bad and now none work. I’m guessing I should have voltage here at the steering wheel for the horn…???

speedo cable length
Hi All, Anybody with the speedo cable from the cruise to the tranny laying around that I can get
an exact cable length ? The end twisted off mine and have since lost the piece. It appears there
should be some pressure on the core going into the cruise…
Gauge limiter…
Just a tip if your gauges are acting up. I reconnected the temp gauge on a rally dash and it would
intermittently swing all the way up and down. Explains why there was an gauge installed under the dash.
