Getting some chrome redone….
This was the worse piece. Chrome guys advised against it. Part was too far gone they thought. But did say it would look better, but couldn’t guarantee I would be happy. Picked part up today….I was happy! Chromers were impressed too! lol
Not like we can just go on ebay and order up this trim piece. Paid 100 bucks, but really didn’t have a choice. This was an eye sore on the rear of the car.

Getting new exhaust
Original plan was just to get my new HP manifolds welded up. Now that turned into getting new tips installed. Showed them pics of what I want. Will see what they can do. May get some series 40s installed. They have some used ones . Figured used is ok since there’s no packing in them. Owner said guys are always swapping out mufflers for sound. So he has alot of used flowmasters.
On the lift. all family owned shop, which I like.
Trim clips??
This is from my ’69 300 vert. It’s a clip that slides into the trim piece then attaches to body. Used to secure the piece that the convertible boot attaches to. Any ideas where I can find this type? Needs to be like this. The screws come in from the underside into this clip. Has to be like this otherwise the convertible top rubs against the backside of the mounting screw head. Thanks!

AC install begins…underhood
Gathered up a OEM 4 groove pulley, OEM 2 groove water pump pulley, OEM lower alternator bracket, BPE upper alternator bracket. Sanden compressor, BPE compressor bracket. I’ll list everything I used when finally done.

Sanden 508 top exit vs rear exit…
I’ve seen both styles, but the ones I seen here on the forum are all top exit. I think I saw one rear exit, but not sure. Would the rear exit fit and clear every thing on my stock 69 440 300 ‘vert? That’s my concern. On the top exit style, can the compressor be rotated so connections exit to the sides, (left side), instead of the top? I think I saw that somewhere on the site, but was not a 440 C-body. I know the second pic is not Sanden just a pic of top exit style.
