Interested in these 2 options on Fender Tag that can’t seem to be decoded

Hoping to again get some help here as I got interested with what my Newport was equipped with.
I had used the tool that decoded most of the tag options, besides two, which are listed below with [x]. Googling didn’t show me anything for them that seemed to make sense, and mymopar.com didn’t give me much info either.
Here’s the list I do have:

h7: Fender or Hood Mounted Turn Signal Indicators
j7: [x]
m6: Driver’s Outside Remote Operated Mirror
A1: 26in Radiator
H1: Power Brakes
R2: Music…

Any idea of good tires for a 68 Newport with 14″ rims?

The tires currently on it are 15″s, don’t remember the exact size but they’re red hubcaps. Look like racing tires. I have the original rims with the car, along with the hubcaps, but the whitewalls on them are rotted and bald, so I would need new ones.
The tires currently on the 14″ rims are 225/75r14, and the only ones I see in this size with whitewalls are Coker Tire, but I’m not a fan of how wide the white wall is. And I’ve heard conflicting things about their quality.
Anybody have…

Looking for 1968 Chrysler Newport steering wheel

Looking for a steering wheel (without horn ring or medallion if possible, I already have those). Reason is my current steering wheel is cracked due to normal age, and I don’t see a point in trying to restore it as some chunks are missing, and I’d rather not put an aftermarket, gaudy exterior on it, so I’m just looking for another one to repaint.
Something like this:

As long as it looks new it’s fine, and like I said, any color is fine as I could probably…

Information regarding “Safeguard Sentinel” system for 68 Chryslers

So, I was watching this old vender video about the ’68 Chrysler lineup, and noticed this part at 6:50:

I have been considering off and on down the road of modding in a auto-dimmer setup for my car (just because it’d be easier than manually pressing the floor button, luxury and all that), but what was interesting to me was upon googling, the actual autronic eye was practically impossible to find, at least a Chrysler period-spec model. Until I noticed this…

Looking for Front Grill Medallion for 68 Newport

Specifically, this part:

Looking online, it seems to be a pretty scarce part to find, and I’ve had no luck with it. Decided to ask here because I’d figure there’s at least one lying around somewhere.
If you have one, shoot me a DM or just post in the thread with a picture of it with a price. I have Paypal if that would make it easier for anyone. Let me know, thanks.

Question regarding hesitation with 383 engine (’68 Newport)

68 Newport 4Door Sedan guy here.
One of the first major things I plan to do with my car is to rebuild the engine, both as a safety measure to prevent it blowing out on me, but also because it needs work anyways.
The engine generally runs fine, I could post a video of a cold start tomorrow, but there’s an issue with acceleration. There’s a bit of hesitation/”dead-zone” when you hit a certain spot on the pedal (I want to say around 30-40 mph). I don’t think it’s an idle problem as the…

Looking for any information on these particular trim pieces

Hello,
I joined the forum because I recently bought a 1968 Chrysler Newport 4door Sedan as a bit of a project car (I’ve always had a soft spot for Chryslers of this styling and time period). I’ve been doing my research off and on about various components of this car, mainly so I can start in the springtime due to how cold it is out right now.
The front doors of the car are a bit bare (exposed to water), as it seems the seal between the outside door and the windows are gone on both sides…
