2019 Project Log

I’m getting a jump on things this year. Here is the tentative list:

  • Dana 60 swap with disc brakes
  • Front 11.75″ disc brake swap
  • Converting to manual brakes
  • Custom gas tank with in-tank pump
  • Swap high stall converter out for much lower spec (maybe stock)

Number one on the list is almost there.

The Dana 60 is one I bought off of Craigslist right before Christmas. It’s a housing pulled from a 1983 F250…

Driver’s Steering Knuckle

Looking for a driver’s side spindle. Doesn’t have to be a nice. This is going to be used for mock up on an 11.75″ rotor. Going to try and make my own caliper brackets to allow for using late model, inexpensive calipers to update the front brakes without spending stupid amounts of money on an aftermarket brake kit that uses better calipers than the single piston factory ones.

Upper Control Arm Pivot Bars

These are the pivot bars that have a built in offset for more adjustment when performing an alignment. Includes new upper control arm bushings. These were made to compensate for the sagging K frame issue. I went with tubular upper arms and don’t need these. Never been installed and go for $70 a piece. I’ll let them both go for $70 plus the ride.

Power Steering High Pressure Hose

Anyone have one laying around? I need to know what kind of end is on the side that threads into the pump. Is it an inverted flare? I can’t remember and don’t really want to drain the power steering pump all over my garage floor to find out.:eek:

2018 Project Log

To do this year:

  • Fix the rear brakes
  • Holley Sniper EFI swap
  • New 3/8th fuel lines
  • Finished the LED lighting conversion
  • New front tires and alignment
  • Chassis dyno session

I’ll be updating this thread as I make progress.

Well this year isn’t getting off to a good start… :(

The rear wheel cylinder has been leaking since I put the car into storage last year. I finally pulled the drum off and the first thing I discovered was this:
