Gas Tank – FREE

I’m having a fuel tank made for the car with a fuel pump and baffling for the EFI, so, don’t need the tank. It was replaced 15 years ago and still looks like new due to the car never seeing winter. If you can come and get it, it’s yours. I’m probably going to keep the sender as I had modified it to accept 3/8″ pickup.

E Body Exhaust Tips

You guys think stainless E body exhaust tips would look good on the back of the 5A? Always wanted to do this.

Brake Pedal Ratios

Is there any difference in the pedal ratio between power and manual brake cars? I’ve seen F body cars with factory manual brakes.

Thanks!

2020 Project Thread

It’s that time of year again for another project thread. Going to be a short list this year, but not cheap.

  • Finalize the disc brake upgrades
  • New custom fuel tank with in-tank pump
  • Redo the front of the motors cooling setup
  • Finish the exhaust

Currently the car has rear disc using a Ford Explorer kit and the fronts are 11.75″ drilled/slotted/plated rotors with factory calipers. I’m going to stick with the rotors and replace the calipers on the front with 4-piston…

Dad’s 1980 Diplomat Coupe

Finally getting around to putting together a build thread for my Dad’s car. It’s got a really nutty story of how my Dad came to own with a lot of stupid luck and coincident rolled into it. If you’re more into the build then scroll down past this next part towards the photos.

I was a regular poster on Dippy.org for probably 15 years. Met a lot of fellow of F/J/M enthusiasts along the way. One of those guys was a chap named Tom. He lived local here in Michigan and put out of a call for…

Hyrdo Boost

Contemplating a hydro boost swap on my car. Does anyone have the dimensions of the four studs on the back of the brake booster that mount through the firewall? I’m wondering if any of the pre-made adapter plates for older Mopars will be the correct dimension or if I’ll have to make my own.

Thanks…

My 1987 Fifth Avenue Build

This thread is just a chronicle of the car thus far (going to be photo intensive)…

Here is my 1987 Fifth Avenue. I bought the car my junior year of high school and couldn’t tell you the difference between a header and head when I got it. Interest in the hobby only grew after my buddy’s father gave me a 360 to take apart and rebuild. Mods started out small with your typical 4bbl swap and carried on with an axle swap, two transmissions and four motors – learning a bit more with each step….
