Folks,
Recently upgraded the throttle linkage and throttle cable and found a couple of times the throttle would stick open, as if something was binding it. Upon further investigation I found this “bar” attached to the floor plate was the culprit. I bent it back further and right now everything is ok.
Here is the picture.
Can’t find any info on the purpose of the bar or it’s proper positioning. A previous owner changed the carb to a Demon, so my thinking more…

Joined a couple of months ago, but due to family things didn’t have a chance to say Hi.
Was originally looking for a “B” body when I came across this 1973 Rallye Challenger.
She’s a 340 with 915 J heads, 8.75 rear end/3.23 gears + Posi, 727 auto. Previous owner had the full Hotchkis TVS suspension system added.
