I know this has been addressed before, any new help would be great. I am pulling my hair out.
I bought a set of new Motive gears 3:55 for my Chrysler 8 3/4 diff.(489 case)

Some might have read my post on the Dart having to been towed back to town. Well long story short I finally blew the 7 1/4 rear end. Sad part of it is though, the car is sitting in the parking lot of my friend’s apartment building since I haven’t had the chance to even get the car moved from here. Towing would cost too much so I’ve been force to rent a trailer and wait for my dad to bring his truck up.

I changed to 3:55 gears (new gears stamped 3:55 on them). I have P275-60-15 tires that measure 27 5/8″.It is a 833 4 sp.
A chart on Ebay said 33 tooth so I ordered one, and the speedo is 10 MPH fast at 60 MPH.
I contacted the guy that sold it to me, and he said my tire size puts it closer to a 34 tooth.But that 1 tooth is equal to 2 MPH.
Does anybody know the sweet spot? I don’t want to keep buying these at $20.00 to guess it.

This may be a dumb question but for some reason my brain isn’t working right now.

Is it crucial that the doors are hung in place and 100% aligned perfectly when hanging 1/4 panels?
