440 Rebuild & Upgrade

I’m going to reserve some space here for the rebuild thread because the time is approaching.

I was driving back from Christmas last week, cruising down the freeway at about 60, and all of a sudden the engine just cut out. After pulling over, cranking the engine revealed a different sound. Something internal.

Finally having some time to tinker with it yesterday, I have the following data: Compression in all cylinders, although about lower than I had when last checked 50k miles ago, and now…

Major cyberstalking scandal at Ebay. Listen to the briefing linked below. The amount of effort that the ebay executives employed in their harassment towards a couple in Natick, MA is unreal.
I can’t believe how vindictive silicon valley can be….makes me want to rethink using “feebay” from now on. But am I surprised….not entirely.

I am very pleased to see there’s a community committed to the preservation and enjoyment of full size MOPARS. Especially given their rarity and relatively small percentage of received enthusiasm amidst the more popular cars out there in the old car world.

Catwhiskers / window fuzzies

Whatever you like to call ’em, I’m wondering if any of y’all know of a source for these, if there are any?

My catwhiskers at the exterior belt line are a little deteriorated. They’ll probably hold on a few more years, but will eventually need to be replaced. They are rubber “v” shaped with a chrome strip, held on by clips to the outer door.

Steering Column Overhaul

Well it was finally my turn to have a round with that rubber coupler. Thanks to previous members’ trials on the subject, the Land Rover part worked for me too. Atlantic British hooked me up. One thing let to another and the whole column got rebuilt since it was out:
