I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.
—Psalm 122:1

Have you ever got “bogged down” with life or so busy, you lost sight of your purpose for living?

Then maybe you could relate to the following. A motorist once drove into an auto service station to get her car’s oil changed. Immediately, three technicians sprang into ac-tion. One began to wipe the windshield, another checked the air in the tires, and another gave his attention to the radiator. In no time they were finished, the customer paid the bill and drove off.

A few minutes later, the lady returned with a worried look on her face and asked, “Did any of you change the oil in my car?” All three technicians looked at each other and meekly admitted that nobody had!We like those auto technicians often get so busy and preoccupied with doing the su-perficial things that we forget to do the absolute essential things.Solomon reminds in Ecc. 12:13 to “fear God and keep His word, for this is the whole duty of man.”

Putting God first is like putting oil in the car, we won’t run right if He is not there.
