Just acquired a parts car which was a 4 speed car and still had the pedal assembly in it. After removing it I found an extremely heavy duty spring and pin which I guessed where they went back together. Moving the clutch pedal back and forth with the spring installed as pictured it both pulled the pedal up into the up position and while the pedal is pushed downward it all of a sudden snaps the pedal down into the down (to the floor) position. Is this correct? Seems really strange to me....
