Had an interesting conversation yesterday with my neighbor about seatbelts

It started out when he asked if I was going to go to the Conroe swap meet. He told me his brother had bought a 68-69 Cougar that his nephew could work on for auto shop class. Except his nephew wanted to hot rod it. So his brother took the car away from him and bought him an early 90's Chevy 4x4. And then we got to talking about the Houston and Harris County cops, said we should incorporate all of them into the Harris County Police Department. Now we get to the seatbelts, I jokingly said over to my dad that we needed to put seatbelts in the back seat of the Mercedes. But turns out it's ok not to have seatbelts back there. Next thing you know, we talked about how hard it was to maneuver around in a classic car with the old-fashioned seatbelts compared to modern cars. That you were just strapped firmly into place compared to your normal daily driver these days. It was a very interesting convo to say the least.
