New Ride 1979 Cordoba

Well long story short I saw this car on eBay a few times and it caught my eye. I really wasn't looking for a Cordoba. I was looking for a Magnum/Mirada to replace a Chrysler Fifth Avenue I had just sold. I looked at a few and even inquired on a couple. The problem I was running across was either title issues, the seller not returning calls/emails, or the car was just way too rusty plus some other issues. So, I came back to the 79 Cordoba. I contacted the seller and inquired about more information/photos. The underneath looked solid and it presented decent. Although, I wasn't looking for a 79 Cordoba I decided to give this car a chance. The seller and I struck a deal for not the car but, a bunch of parts that came with the car.

The details on the car is it a 79 with one repaint and original interior blue interior that has buckets with a jump seat. It was a 360 2bbl (K-Code) with an A999 transmission. The car earlier in its life had the two barrel replaced with an 800 cfm Thermoquad with the some parts being donated from a 4bbl Cordoba/300 variant. It has a Performer Intake with a 340 Mopar "resto" cam, dual exhaust with no converters, it still has the factory A999 transmission that runs to a 8.25 rear with 2.45 gears. It has things like A/C, tilt, power windows, rear defroster, and A/C.

When I received the car it had the whitewalls and hubcaps on it but, the tires on it were starting to crack (UV) damage and so I splurged (even when I shouldn't) and installed Cragar 15x7 Eliminator wheels shod on Cooper Cobra Radials that are 235/60/15 in size ratio. I did try some Mirada wheels I had initially bought for my old Fifth Avenue but, I decided that I wanted something ready to go and roll.

Well, enough writing from me. Here is the car itself and I'm sure some of you have seen it at Carlisle the seller lived near Walnutport, PA. Thank you for letting me share this car. My plan is to keep it a long time. I'm tired of selling and trading lol.
