What You Make Of It
You know, life really is what you make it! If one’s mind is filled with criticism, skepticism and cynicism then he will find all sorts of reasons to be unhappy and to look down his nose at most other people. We may feel contempt for people who live this way, but we need to have nothing but pity and compassion. If we can, we need to lift them up! None of us should feel good when we see a miserable person become more miserable.
Both the hummingbird and the vulture fly over our nation’s deserts.
All the vultures see is rotting meat, because that is what they are looking for. They thrive on that diet.
But hummingbirds ignore the smelly flesh of dead animals. Instead, they look for colorful blossoms of desert plants.
The vultures live on what was. They live on the past. They fill themselves with what is dead and gone. But, hummingbirds live on what is. They seek new life. They fill themselves with freshness and life. Each bird finds what it is looking for. We all do. So this week, look for the good and spread a little sunshine! :angel:
