Holley Dominator up or down ?

I have a Holley dominator 1050 8896-1;which is thought to be running lean. It has 88 squared main jets and 40 high speed air bleeds. Does anyone have a recommendation on how best to obtain desired setting? I know going down in high speed bleeds makes it richer and going up in main jets has that same effect. But which do I do? Some say 88 mains should be plenty & to go down to 36 or 34 on the bleeds. The power valves are blocked and the mains were not changed. It runs good on a 440 ,700 up drag car. Just afraid on the lean issue. Thanks
