ceramic coated headers

DUH! DUMB ME!!!! ceramic headers are supposed to be cooler the others. Many of you know, they still get hot, I learned in 2 spots on my right forearm last night while adjusting the carb on my car. hot enuf to not even blister, just toasted me enuf to make the skin hard. kinda makes me want to get my down turned headers back from repairs a little quicker. ok ok ok, I'm still getting back used to it again. Slicks are off to look at dragging rt side brake problem. initially appears to just be from the length of time it sat at the previous owner's place. Rotors are good (all Wildwood Brake system), but having a race buddy turn them to clean them up. pads removed were almost new, but replacing them anyway. new front wheels and tires weigh about 30% of what the old ones did, so going to Jerry Tollivers shop in Topeka Wednesday about a wheelie bar. no one online or anywhere seems to make them for dragster cars, you gotta go to a frame fab shop that does dragster cars if ya want one. tomorrow, engine diaper goes on, Monday is shot, Tuesday late, brakes and all will go back on (had to get a safetywire kit from jeg's, won't be here till Tuesday), Wednesday and Thursday is shot, unload the trailer full of stuff Friday, hopefully head to the track on Saturday, with my luck, it'll rain. Only got about 4 weeks left to get my license for next year. NHRA certify guy even marked my sticker for October 2016 expire so I could race all of 2016 without interrupt to recertify. He's a SUPER GUY, name is Brad House, yes BK and Fugly, he says he knows you both well. car is cert to 7.50, but I was told, once established at HPT, if I go faster, they probably won't say anything. that felt good. sorry to bother you all with trivia, e-mail or PM me if ya want.
