took the car out tonight with the new freebie motor. Its a bit off out of the corners, but at least running. for a stock motor with a cam i was pretty happy. only 2/10 off of what my "good" motor ran. I continued working on handling issues. it seems that either the car is driving better or I am, but it was getting through the corners the best ever. too bad it was a dog! heat was pretty uneventful started last but it came up to speed slowly. I wound up running laps trying lines and different braking points. wound up starting last in the semi..more of the same till with two to go the right rear axle snaped off at the flange! it spun so quickly that the left tires almost fliped me, and then as it flattened out it hit the wall head on. the bumper bent back as it was supposed to , took the hit without any damage other than cosmetics and a rf cut down by the fender. they had to do a two hook on it to take it off the track, but after changing the rf tire i could have driven it on the trailer if i had a spare axle. I almost didn't race tonight wanting to keep the car nice for a sponsor showing next week. ooops! the worst damage is the rf fender. I have a spare one of those..its all racin i guess! Ill add pics in the daylight.
