I was driving back home and decided to do a u turn and i think i turned the steering wheel a little too much that it got super stiff right after and then i got a service power steering system in my dash. I checked the rack and pinion the fallowing day and had fluid leaking out and i checked my power steering reservoir and it was empty and in all honesty i believe its been empty for a couple months cause my steering had been getting stuck when turning left. i filled up the reservoir in hopes that it would fix it but it didnt now im not sure if the rack and pinion finally gave out and got jammed after running it for so long without power steering or if the pump gave out any tips or recommendations on what to do because both parts are pretty expensive please and thank you.
