1955 Belvedere Engine Swap

Hey out there. I am about to try to re-create my senior year of high school car. I just bought a very nice '55 Belvedere Club Sedan with a 230 flathead six and a Power Flyte transmission. I know that I won't be happy with that power combination. I want to repower with a V-8 and have a chance to buy a '63 New Yorker with a good 413 and a Torque Flight. I am thinking that I can use the bigger radiator and rear end too and maybe even put the power brake system on the '55 and just maybe the AC. Anybody try the Big Block route in one of these little Plymouths? I had one guy tell me don't go over the 318, 340, 360 inch engines or you're asking for trouble trying to swap it in. Help!!
