Walmart; Giving Credit Where Credit is Due

300 mile trip to Moundsville, WV this weekend past and:

Tread separated on driver's side front tire but we made it to our hotel OK.

Walmart was across the parking lot so I stopped in to buy tires; we were going to replace all four tires before winter due to tread depth anyway.

Walmart had zero in stock to fit our Chrysler 200 but said they could order from warehouse and have them by noon the following day.

The truck arrived without the tires and the warehouse said the order was placed too late, according to the Walmart service manager they placed the order 9 hours before the cut-off.

Because the tires weren't on the truck the service manager had one of his guys drive me to a tire store across town, I purchased the tires there and Walmart installed and balanced them free of charge.

I offered that I had absolutely no problem paying for the mounting and balancing but he wouldn't take it.

And all of this was done with no arguing or harsh words, they seemed genuinely apologetic that things didn't go the way they said it would and they did everything within their power to make it right.
