Some in the know are predicting the end of the self driven car. I don't want to believe it, I don't even like riding in a car unless the know the other driver is at least as good as I am, I can't fathom riding in a vehicle that relies on sensors and computer programs to make all the driving decisions. I'm also very concerned that future politicians will make self driving cars mandatory to some degree, the same way they have with other safety technologies.
If someone wants an autonomous vehicle I believe that's fine, the details on that can be worked out. However, I would really hate to see that become the only choice.
