Soft 1-2 upshift

My truck (2006 Cummins Ram 2500) tends to have a soft 1-2 upshift. I'm not sure if it is a 1-2 overlap issue or if 1 releases before 2 is applied.

Is this something simple that I can fix myself or is it a dealership/transmission shop issue?
