Hi guys. A coupld of weeks ago, I was driving dwon the street in my 1969 Roadrunner convertible (383, Air Grabber, Auto/console) when all of a sudden, it just shut down.. I popped it in nuetral while still rolling , it cranked slowly, and then started up again... it did it again on the way home, again, slow cranking while still rolling, started back up and drove home.
This morning, I took it out again and bam! two blocks from the house, shuts down, this time I started it and it shut down again right away, then aagain and it shut down, then a third time and it drove back. I did notice this time that the ammeter was pegged all the way to the right or "C" position (Charging).
The car is stock except for the Pertronix ignition which has been on the car for a little less than a year. Any info would be appreciated.
