96 Dak's original fuel pump finally quit at 140k miles. Dealer's price of $652 is unacceptible. Best deal for stock replacement is Pep Boys' $189 for Carter # P74711M w/Walbro oem module. Only problem is that Carter is the only co. that uses same pumps for BOTH 15 & 22 gal. tanks. [always likes Carter prods since their carbs were on my old 64 Plymouth 426 Max Wedge that my 06 Magnum 6.1 can't ever approach!] Just don't feel like lifting the Dak's bed off twice at age 66 to change the pump again cause the gas gauge doesn't work! Never too old to listen xcept to the wife and the doctor. " Stop benching that 200 lbs. 10 times and take the garbage out!!! Gotta quit this stuff soon & start actin my age! Just gotta love those DAKOTAS.
