steel shim head gaskets

Do you need to use any type of sealer or coating with steel shim gaskets?
What about sealer on head bolts,they looked like they had some type of white coating on the threads.

Turn Signals

When I use my turn signals, my aftermarket ammeter fluctuates by 10 amps each time the flasher turns on and off. I replaced the flasher but it is still the same. 10 amps seems kinda excessive. Could it be old wiring, or is this normal? I’m confident the ammeter is accurate.

How To Store A Engine/tranny

I’m going to be mothballing my 383 and 727 for many years. These are both good peices and when the time comes to put them back in my Cuda I’d like them to be still good. Any sugestions on what to do with them?
