1959 Plymouth Fury rear end swap/conversion

Hello folks!

So, I’ve scoured forums and the internet and see mostly conflicting or “possible” things.

Is there anyone who has the correct info on a newer post 64 (non-tapered axle) rear end that can be swapped with the correct pinion angle and perch/spring measurements?

We need to locate an easy to do, affordable replacement.

Ever see brake booster like this?

The odd brake noise was actually coming from an air inlet on this booster. Says Bendix Aircraft Corp on it. The inlet has a sort of coarse brill fabric under a screen with a snap ring. The sound would come from it intermittently when at a complete stop. It sounded like metal to metal but couldn’t be. I haven’t found any info on this and there’s nothing in the FSM. 1959 Imperial doesn’t charge and not sure how to tackle this

Question: My car doesn’t charge. That is a bit inconvenient. But I am not savvy with generator cars, I get my way around a alternator car, but this is all new for me.

I did notice someone has been butchering into the wiring, there is some loose wiring and the routing is new to me, including the components.
I can tell the generator and the regulator, but I see wires go to a device in front of the regulator, what is that?
