I run my 70 Challenger in the Texas muscle car club Challenge.
We need to keep it above 7.0 in the 1/8 mile.
On cool mornings starting out with the first time trial, we always run 6.90 or so. Yesterday it was 6.83 right off the trailer. So we put four thick washers duct taped und the pedal. The next run was 6.94.
What to do???
My buddy/ Crew Chief goes and grabs the drivers floor matt out of my one ton FORD!
Next run is a 7.0 and we got a dead on dial.
Problem solved.
This proves the theory, if you want to slow a MOPAR down put a FORD part on it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
